Beit Beirut, The Revival: Thank you!

Finally someone took a good decision in Beirut:

A landmark of the Lebanese Civil War (1975-1990). Once a model of innovative architecture, then came to be a sniper’s favorite nest, that’s what makes Beit Beirut iconic. Today, Beit Beirut is protected and preserved by the Municipality of Beirut in partnership with the Municipality of Paris, to be a Museum of memory, a cultural and artistic meeting place as an example of a reunited Lebanon.

The building is located in Sodeco. link via Blog Baladi.

On the other hand, the fate of the building in Badaro where Amin Maalouf lived is still unknown.
